Course Overview
This course develops enterprise, entrepreneurship and business knowledge for learners considering employment, self-employment, further study or business ownership. It covers defining a business idea, business planning, finance, marketing and promotion, human resources, problem-solving, customer service and innovative improvement in business.
Entry Criteria
- Applicants must be aged 16 or over.
- There are no formal academic entry requirements.
- Applicants should have English and maths at Level 2, for example GCSE Grade C / Grade 4 or above, or equivalent.
- Applicants should receive appropriate advice and guidance before starting to confirm that the programme meets their needs.
What You Will Study
- Learners select from the available enterprise and entrepreneurship units to achieve the required 27 credits.
- Available study areas include business ideas and planning, business relationships, advertising, banking, legislation, business review, finance, marketing, customer service and business improvement.
Assessment Methods
Assessment is portfolio-based. Learners choose suitable units to make up the required credit value and provide evidence demonstrating achievement of the selected unit requirements.
