Level 3 International Foundation Diploma in Business and Fashion
Course Overview
This course is designed as an entry route to further and higher education in the UK or internationally. Learners develop academic and research skills, business communication, mathematics and statistics, and an understanding of the business environment, while this pathway adds specialist study in fashion and textile techniques and fashion design and innovation. Successful completion can support progression to further study or employment.
Entry Criteria
- Applicants must be aged 16 or over.
- There are no formal academic entry requirements.
- Applicants must have a proficient level of spoken and written English.
- If English is not the applicant’s first language, a formal English language qualification of at least Level 1, such as ESOL International at CEFR B2 or above, or equivalent, is required.
- Learners planning to progress to further or higher education should also check the specific entry requirements of their intended institution and programme.

Assessment Methods
Assessment is centre-assessed and portfolio-based across all six mandatory units. Learners maintain a portfolio of coursework mapped to the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.

Delivery & Grading

- All learning outcomes and assessment requirements must be met; the qualification is assessed as Pass or Fail.
Progression Opportunities
Successful completion can support progression to further education, higher education and degree-level study, subject to the entry requirements of the receiving institution and programme. It can also support progression into employment.
