Level 3 Diploma in Business Innovation
Course Overview
This course develops knowledge and understanding of business innovation for learners who want to enter business, develop a venture or progress to further study. Learners explore business planning, digital presence, decision-making, human resource management, and methods for reviewing and improving a business.
Entry Criteria
- Applicants must be aged 16 or over.
- English and maths should normally be at GCSE Grade A*-C / Grade 4 or above, or equivalent.
- If English is not the applicant’s first language, a minimum B2 (CEFR) level or equivalent is required.
- Suitable digital literacy skills are required, although a specific prior digital qualification is not required.
- There are no further formal entry requirements.

Assessment Methods
Learners are assessed on evidence contained within a portfolio. The portfolio must clearly demonstrate achievement of the relevant learning outcomes and qualification requirements.

Delivery & Grading
- Learning may be classroom-based, online or blended.
- The qualification is assessed on a Pass/Fail basis, with internal assessment and moderation and external quality assurance.
Progression Opportunities
Successful learners can progress to Level 4 or higher study in business administration, business enterprise, leadership and management, human resources, business finance and related areas, and may also progress to degree-level study where entry requirements are met.
